NISSAN 370Z ROADSTER
A DOSE OF ADRENALINE CONNECTING YOU TO THE ROAD
The 370Z features Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) with advanced Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) technology that continuously tunes valve lift and timing for quicker response and a broader torque curve, while optimizing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
Nissan scrutinized every ounce of the 370Z. Weight was reduced by changing the doors to ultra-strong lightweight aluminum. We even shaved 1.58 kg from the audio system. And high-tech materials abound, including a carbon-fiber composite driveshaft that’s not only incredibly strong, it also helps the engine rev more quickly. The Z also has a weight-saving carbon-fiber composite radiator support structure. More power. Less weight.
For throwback thrills and endless smiles, this quick-shifting manual is just the ticket. Outfitted with available SynchroRev Match technology, it helps you shift like a pro for a smoother, controlled drive on your favourite twisty road or your daily commute.
A world’s first in any production car, SynchroRev Match monitors the 6-speed manual’s clutch, shift lever and vehicle speed. As you shift to a lower gear, the system “blips” the throttle to the ideal engine rpm for a supremely smooth downshift.
370Z’s 7-speed automatic transmission gives you a wide spread of gearing and improved fuel efficiency. With a choice of driver-selectable modes, you can custom-tailor your driving experience like never before.
Put the 7-speed auto in “D” for effortless cruising, then pull the steering-column-mounted paddle shifters whenever quick gear changes are needed. Want more involvement? Manual mode gives you manual-style control through the shift lever or paddle shifters.
55/45 WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
Some consider a static 50/50 balance to be the perfect weight distribution for handling. But Nissan engineers realized that a slightly forward-biased ratio is actually ideal. That’s because at the precise moment the driver accelerates out of a corner’s apex, the weight distribution shifts rearward and becomes an approximate 50/50 balance. This translates into enhanced tyre contact for better acceleration, quicker turns and a handling feel that’s uniquely Nissan Z.
Standard 18” Yokohama ADVAN Sport high-performance tyres help keep you glued to the road, while available 19” Bridgestone Potenza tyres deliver new levels of roadholding grip.
Available RAYS forged alloy wheels are stronger and lighter than typical cast wheels. Because they result in less rotating mass on the driveshaft, they help the engine rev quicker.
Balance doesn’t just apply to cornering. Bringing the powerful Nissan Z to a halt are its largest brakes ever: available 355 mm front rotors, with the gripping power of 4-piston front calipers.
A lightweight double-wishbone front suspension coupled with a 4-link rear design helps keep the tyres vertical to the ground for maximum contact—and maximum thrills through corners.
